This is my “I’m trying to be pensive while everyone around is drinking face.”
Everyone else certainly thought so. There was plenty of laughter (again) on my “model shots”. Some of the jokes made were funny. Some of them hurt. And no, I don’t think I look constipated… all that much.
Despite their commentary, I really wanted to show off my summer-pattern-for-winter look. These pants were definitely intended for spring — I bought them in the spring (wore them with nude wedges and a breezy orange-sherbet shirt). And yeah, they look pretty dope in the spring. But recently I’ve found myself desperate for vitamin D, color, and sunlight. So here are my happy pants.
I was inspired by my little sister, who did this look with gold and white snakeskin patterned pants and a chunky black sweater — yes, Emily, the chunky sweater does, in fact, look better than my current get-up, but we all make do with what we have.
Jeans: Citizens of Humanity, old (I really want these right now)
These were clearly taken BEFORE this week. Now Baltimore is covered in snow, and we’re supposed to hit -2 degrees tonight. The pants are now no longer enough to sustain my desire for color, so I’m actually going home to Florida this weekend. Which is especially exciting, because Emily and I can finally get a couple of real double-posts.
And take each other’s pictures. Meaning one week of not needing to bribe my roommates.
I’m can’t wait
